Ok, stop laughing
![]() Some days ago I bought this set on E-Bay http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...CA%3AIT%3A1123 I was joking with my friends on the meaning of the acronym RCI ... Thinking about RCA, I said "if RCA means Radio Corporation of America, RCI means Radio Corporation of Italy!" I did not know it, but two days ago they showed me this link: http://www.radiomuseum.org/dsp_herst...ompany_id=9542 My first reaction ![]() "Is not possible... Is not possible... A fake RCA..." ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I don't think RCA ever sold any split chassis sets, but it does remind me of my Philco split chassis set.
Nice find! Heres hoping the CRT is still good. Tom C. |

The wires are ok, this set has been sealed in mid 50s because the owner has not paid taxes and has not been turned on since now. The wire lead goes through the socket of the PY81 (damper diode).

In a similar ripoff of the name, I bought an RCA robe from the dollar store. In that case, it stood for "Robe Corporation of America".
