It has an insane price as usual on epay but the look of speakers on both sides with hidden controls and smoke screen looks cool. I bet this is the last fancy looking model with Quasar on it. I suppose it is from Matsushita. I wish there were true Quasar color 19" sets for sale from '75 and under but they seem to all be gone. I once saw an impressive model from I think '74 that had the light sensor in a faux gaudy pecan wood cabinet on a matching pedastal stand. Seems like it had the crisscross plastic wood over the small speaker under the usual channel knobs. The inside was packed with panels on that copper looking chassis. Very heavy set. Maybe as heavy as same size Zeniths from same time period with all metakl insides and plastic outside.

Good lord,I had one very similar to that in the early 90's. It had nothing but problems, blowing the HOT and chroma components on a 6 month basis. It was a lovely set. Matsushita built too.

I have probably the last Motorola designed 19" portable. It was built right after Matsushita took over Franklin Park. It still has all the Quasar boards and a Sylvania built delta Gun CRT.

Wasn't this a one board "supermodule" set?
If so, shoot it with a big bore weapon to assure a clean kill, lest it devour your wallet!
Changed a lot of supermodules. Another problem was electrolytic caps in the power supply!
Sad thing is when they played they had a good picture.
