17bp4

Reasonable starting price. The serial number on the box should also be on the tube.

That CRT looks a 16T/RP4. The 17BP4 has curved sides and bottom of faceplate. I meant sides, top and bottom of faceplate. Also slightly more viewing area.

I was going to say that too, too square for a 17BP4.
It could still be a good find for someone and the price isn't crazy like so many these days.

Sooo many on these "NIB" tubes that show up on eBay are just like this, old box with a mismatched tube in it, maybe good maybe not.

I figure it's usually the old CRT that was replaced in these boxes and the new one ended up in a set.

Great eye, you two. I sent the seller a message to see if they can find a numer on the tube. Someone bid on it already, they may end up being surprised two-fold.

Possible, but the tube inside would be a 17BP4 instead of 16TP4.

Good point. I was actually that lone bidder, but the seller pulled the auction I could make use of either a 16*P4 or a 17BP4. Plus I like to take a chance every now and then
