1960's RCA new vista portable tv with stand on Los Angeles craigslist
No affiliation.
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv...276634804.html Fantastic atomic age television by RCA Victor. New Vista series has a "modern", space-age look. Great look with black casing and light yellow frame. Rounded television face. Great hand turned and pull dials for the channel, contrast, volume and brightness. Television is in good aesthetic condition for it's age. There is a scratch on the face. It would make such a fantastic decor piece in a mid century modern home. I'm happy to send additional photos. Comes with its original rolling gold-tone stand. It goes without saying that the television does not work. TV measures appx. 21" long x 9.5" deep x 16" tall. Screen is 15.25" x 12". Location: Reseda/Encino it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests

I suspect the stand should be worth as much as the set but it will never sell for that price. Half that would buy a perfect working model of the same.

Yes,I agree its overpriced.
Like most people on Craigslist the seller is embarked upon a fishing exepedition. Still someone here may really want this model and most of the sellers become reasonable after they cant sell it for their fantasy world price.

Pretty common '63 or so RCA. Not that I'd let it go to the dump, but I could do a lot better for $200.

Reminds me of a time when people would push a set around the house into different rooms. That was the idea anyway. No cable or Dish boxes to move with the set just some rabbit ears. The seller says it's a 50s set I think it might be a little newer than that. Maybe even early 60's. John Kennedy erea? What could help date it would be to know if it has UHF/VHF It's a good nestalgia set.
