Admiral Fuse

Well, I'm underway with the restoral of my Admiral 20z1 chassis and I have come up with a question that I hope someone has an answer for. I have the Photofact set for my chassis and I'm gathering a list of the Caps and resistors that I will need to order. The picture tube (12LP4A) came out of the chassis without any problems but I noticed that there are a few 'shiners' on the coils. Is this something to worry about ? I don't think I damaged the coil when I pulled the tube, but stranger things have happened. I built a little wooden crate to store the CRT out of harms way and while I was at it I built a workbench on wheels to hold the chassis-- much easier to get at things now. I have two areas on the chassis that have been repaired in the past, so I am going to restore the circuits as per the schematic. Well, now we come to my question and the reason for this post. The schematic shows a fuse off of the primary that is .25 amp at 250 v. On my chassis there is a glass fuse soldered in- it is .25 amp at 250v. Soo-- does this seem right? It just seems like a small fuse for this chassis. On the schematic on the first page it says that the TV is rated at 1.7amps at 117 volts AC. Hope someone can set me strait-- thanks!

That 1/4 amp fuse is just for the horizontal output circuit. It can save the flyback when things go wrong.

There actually isn't any fuse on the power transformer. I usually add a 2-3 amp fuse near the power switch to sets like this.

That's what I was thinking. Something just didn't seem right. I'm going to put in a fuse of my own - thanks for the info!
