Emergency,and a real emergency !

Took a big step back in time over the Holidays, I came across an old show I always watched when I was a kid called Emergency and found it on DVD series. I watched the first two hour premier of Emergency tonight. I can remember exactly saying to my parents when I get old like those guys I want to be a (para-medic)fire fighter.(paramedic Johnny Gage must have been a whole 23) I cant believe how young those two main characters were when I made that statement to my parents back in those days when it originally aired on TV. I realized a few things... I got really old, never was interested in rescue work and I miss the writing of those days for TV.
I also picked up seasons 3,5,9,10 of Hawaii Five-0 1st generation and really this junk on tv now, there is just no moral story lines or script writing worth watching, maybe I am just getting dirt old I just turned 46 lol. The new five-0 has no substance that really sets in that makes it stand apart from any other dime written action show script now on TV.I live enough reality I dont care what the women of Orange Co are arguing about or why Gene Simmons is thinking he is 15 again, damn I am getting old!

Yes good show!

Anyone know why they changed the name from EMERGENCY to EMERGENCY ONE?

That's the title used when the show went into syndication.

When I first got Dish network around 2002 or so TVLand was showing Emergency and I loved it, it was one of the first shows I watched.
I wish they still showed classic series..

I hope the new owners dont goof RTV up. With SO much good retro programming you could have new shows for years.

mission impossible
mannix
man from uncle
get smart
wild wild west
mystery series (columbo,MM and wife, the denis weaver one)
Rembember the old move of the week series I think ABC had.

I mean just get any tv guide from 1955-1975 and go to town...
