Help with an Admiral Triple Thrill?
Hi! I found this forum in hopes someone could help me determine the value of my grandmother's Admiral Triple Thrill. It is in great condition cosmetically. The phonograph and radio work, and the tv comes on but obviously isn't hooked up to anything to see if it gets a picture or anything. We are selling her house as she is in assisted living and trying to determine how to best sell this tv. I'm sure there is a collector out there that would like it, and will probably post it on craigslist, but don't even know where to start with a price. Can anyone give me some info? I've attached a picture...

It will all depend if a collector that want's one is in your area or willing to drive to your area. This is an item that is very expensive to ship. It's very hard to pin down a value. I wouldn't pay over $100 for one but that doesn't mean someone else wouldn't. It is in great shape which means something. Maybe put $199 or best offer and see what happens.

If it came up in my area, I'd pay about $50 for it. If it happened to be a desirable set that I had been looking for awhile, then the very limit would be at or below $200. Craigslist seems to be where most tv collectors look for sets, so that would be the best place to put an ad up.
The larger console models tend to sell for less, basically because tv collectors only have so much room, and those big sets really have to be something special in order to sell for much. I agree with $50-$200 depending on condition. If someone was looking for this specific model because of sentimental value they might pay more. That would be unusual.
Don't try operating it again. That could cause damage that would make it worth less. If the picture tube lit up with a raster when you tested it, even if no picture, then that would indicate that the picture tube is good. A big plus. There's a classified section on this site where you can advertise also. People would need to know your general location. Craigslist is a good choice. John
