Zener diode question
Hey guys,
Im in process of repairing yet another crappy plasma for a friend. This waste of technology is a Magnavox (chinese samsung) power supply. It melted a fairchild T0-66 semi and shorted a zener diode for the secondary Vscan -190v output. This circuit powers the plasma cells. Well anyway, the zener is a 3B0. I know this is a 3v zener, but if I cannot find a 3b0 what can I sub in? Thanks Shawn

Just to help those who may need a Zener, the following are "standard" types of various wattage Zener Diodes:
1N5221-1N5281: 500mW Zener Diodes("A" and "B" suffix are improved types) 1N4728-1N4764: 1 Watt Zener Diodes ("A" suffix is improved 5% type) 1N5333B thru 1N5388B: 5 Watt Zener Diodes The voltage ranges of the above series of diodes pretty much covers any Zeners we may find in sets. Surface Mount types are made by Fairchild, and have a prefix that varies depending on the package type (2 lead, MELF, three lead, etc). Hope this helps,
