Stromberg Carlson TV-12
I am helping a friend in New Jersey thin down his everything collection, and amongst the pile is a Stromberg-Carlson television. The chassis is a TV-12, but we do not know the exact model, as it seems there was a whole line of TV-12 based sets. This one is in a black Chinese themed cabinet with doors, with the television and a radio inside.
Where did Stromberg Carlson generally put their model numbers? Next week, I can probably get some pictures. It is likely that he will need to move this TV out soon. -- Will

The S-C page at tvhistory.tv shows a few Chinese consoles, including one with a radio.

Here are some pictures (attached) of the Stromberg Carlson TV-12. It seems a more Japanese motif that Chinese (odd, considering the era). The front paint is even textured. The cabinet is a real SC, as it has a little metal tag on the back. The lower panel opposite to the speaker is a slide out phonograph. There is some damage to the finish, but nothing that is beyond hope.
This is located near Boonton, NJ. Is there any interest in this? What is a fair value? I may be able to deliver this within a few hundred miles quite reasonably, and with luck, maybe even on one of my longer road trips. -- Will

It's a DuMont 103 chassis, or a very close cousin, great performer when it's running right.

OK, digging this old thread back up.
Anyway, we still need to get rid of this big Japanese themed set, and as we are both going to be driving down to the CC-AWA meet in Charlotte in a week or so, maybe we can deliver the beast safely. Any interest? Gas money would help a bunch! Or for that matter, we might be able to move things from CC-AWA to New Jersey. -- Will

No question, that is a RA-103 chassis, one of the best designs of its time.
