I found one on the tree lawn several months ago. This was the lower priced model with the SE 6BQ5 amp. B&W tv. The one pictured looks like the big push-pull amp. and 12 in. speakers.

I don't think there is any other word in the english vocabulary that gets butched more than the word "Console". Every ad I see, its a new incorrect spelling variation of the word. So in order to find old TV's you need to know all 20+ ways of incorrectly spelling cownsole so you can find it when searching ebay and craigslist.

The seller is off by at least 10-15 years, as that console has the 88-108 MHz stereo FM tuner, and the control layout says 1950s'-'60s as well. Another tipoff is that Micromatic record changer. Magnavox didn't start putting these in their 3-way entertainment centers until at least the 1950s, unless they were available as single-speed units (78 rpm) before then -- which I doubt.
BTW, even with the television not working, this console would make a great stereo entertainment unit. Magnavox made some very good high-fidelity consoles back in the day, much better than the cheap units in the discount stores nowadays. I wouldn't expect the seller to get very many offers, however, except from buyers on the West Coast, since the unit is so big and heavy. To ship this, say, from California to the east coast would probably cost more in shipping charges alone than the console is worth.

Might have the hard to find 23" kine! That one is just a little older than mine is, and probably has the bigger amp and speakers like was said before. I sure hope you can save it!

I believe the spelling of consel was changed in 1967 to consol.

This same model was at a thrift near me recently, I could have had it for $12.50 on half price day but I didn't have room for it.
It was a 27" model.

Ive only seen one 27" B/W Maggie/Maggotbox. The owner of the set wanted to see if it could have a rebuilt tube installed. When he found out how much it would be, he came and picked up the set. A couple of days later, I found this set beside a dumpster with no tubes, and a busted CRT. It was the same set, as I marked the CRT bell. I thought at the time, that it would have been a good candidate for a rebuild. The rest of the set, and cabinet, were first rate.
