7dp4 crt NOS

Someone must have made him a offer he could not refuse, and stopped the auction. Says he wants to check the tube but discription says AS IS. Could have used that one , Thats ebay, anything could happen.

I saw that one, I had some doubts because of the 1955 date written on it but it did look new.
It was made in 1948 so it would have been a replacement tube and not taken out of a set.

If it's really NOS I can only imagine what it would go for, i.e a bunch of $$

I looked at that listing too. the code date actually was 3/48 which meant 1953, 48th week. It was recent manufacture. RCA stamped the warrantee code date on the face of the locating key on all their replacment CRT'S. That tube wasn't that big of a seller so it doesn't seem unresonable that it was a year old when it was shipped.

You're right, I got the date wrong.
