rca victor personal portable

Hey guys, Im currently playing around with an rca portable from the 50s. some of the model number is gone but what is on it says 17-pt-8, anyone know what i have, and possibly have a tube chart for it? thanks, Bruce

if it is like the ones I collect they'll be a chassis number on the tuner like kcs100b, kcs100d, or kcs100k.

hey chuck, thanks for answering, the only thing i can see on the tuner is RVA-LA and something that looks like RKK-44A and i found the tube chart inside ,but no chassis number but the CRT number is 17cdp4, thanks in advance if you can help me identify it, Bruce

In the Photofact index the only 17PT8... that I see is 17PT8071, which is listed as Photofact #392 folder #3 (dated 3-58). A 17CDP4 is used in that set.
Could you post a pix...Sounds like a mid-late 50s 17" portable in a metal box.

I have an 8PT7032 which is a black 8" portable from about the same era (1956 or so). The 17" model shown below (17PT8071U) has the optional UHF tuner mounted below the VHF tuner, hence the "U" in the model number... Does it look anything like that?

Does the tube layout look something like this? The board on the right is turned sideways.
