Zenith color yoke
Tried Moyers, no joy, 95-2501
I seem to recall someone saying there was a store in Tampa that carried old yokes. anyone remember that one? |

My computer list indicates that I have one of these. It may be a couple of days before I can confirm. I will post again when I confirm.

I have confirmed that I do have a Zenith box labeled 95-2501 that contains a color yoke. I cannot find a part number on the yoke itself. There is a rectangular connector on the yoke that would connect the yoke to the chassis.

Bad news: I just noticed a label hand written on the box that says "Open Vert", so the yoke may not be good. (The owner of the TV shop that I cleaned out to get this saved everything-good and bad).
Do you have a Sam's number of know what the resistance values for the yoke should be? I can check to verify the open vertical winding. |

I am sorry I never got back to you, I must be slipping.
anyway the yoke resistance is vert 13.2 and horz 8.7 per the sams. and it looks like I may need one, my orig zenith turned out to be ok, but the new one is acting funny and may need a yoke. |

I have not gotten around to checking the yoke resistance yet, but hope to do this in the next few days.

I took a look at the yoke I have. There are several connections, so it is hard to tell which is vertical and which is horizontal. It seems that the actual coils have 4 connections each. Anyway, one of them looks ok, less than 20 ohms to between all four connections. The other does not, with 437 ohms between two of the four connections and the other two being open.

actually that may be ok, its a confusing yoke plug. there are a couple connections that have two 220 resistors
check yel/black to yellow 440 ohms green to yel/black prob 7 ohms white to yellow prob 7 ohms green to white prob 460 ohms Blue to red 8.7 ohms Blue to ohter red 4.5 ohms Red to Read 4.5 ohms whew... |

FYI, I no longer think I have a Yoke issue, I was chasing a pin cushion problem that I "thought" was a yoke problem. However, it maybe helpful data about how to check the yokes out.

I will check between the wires anyway and let you know what I find.
