Too bad he had to go and "smoke" it. Hopefully, nothing serious was fried.

"I plugged it in once and the voice worked but it started smoking. This was in about 1986..... I wanted to put a fish tank in it, but never did."

I don't know, I was expecting this set to go over $150, almost any porthole set seems to be pretty rare. Although with local pickup only, he might not get any bidders for it, too far away for me.
