First Japanese TV produced for Japan market


From the magazine "Journal of the Electronic Industry" published by Dempa Publications, the "Evolution of Television" June 2010 issue. This TV produced in 1952, priced at Y290,000 ($3,222). page 9. It also says that a civil servant just out of high school earned a starting salary of Y5400 ($60), but it doesn't specify if that's per week, month, year or what...

The screen area & basic shape reminds me of some of the early Motorola sets.

The knobs look like Hallicrafters, but not the layout. It's a really sharp looking set that doesn't closely resemble any US set I can think of.
