Score, Philco 50-702

Picked up a 7" Philco in Los Angeles this morning!
It's complete with the knobs and back too.

The owner has had it since the 80's and had used it for decoration, she was told it worked at the time.

It had been painted with a thick white paint at some point in it's life, possibly the early 60's when such things were in vogue, later on it had been painted black, thin paint, possibly just a spray can, maybe in the 70's?

The Veneer looked good from what I could see through the paint, got it back to work and started spraying Citristrip on it.

Turns out the Veneer underneath is in wonderful condition, some small scratches on the top that happened prior to the first paint job but nothing that won't go away with a little sanding and refinishing.

I still have to strip the front but I need to remove the glass and mask first.

When I got it home I backed it up to a working Motorola and hooked up the 7JP4, it's as good as new!
came on with full brightness and good focus as soon as the high voltage came up.

Cute. Looks a lot like an RCA 721TS.

Sweet! I love those early Philcos. You've been picking up some great sets lately.

Finished stripping it today, the Veneer is beautiful on this set!!

Unfortunately the decal went with the paint, "PHILCO" decals are easy to come by but this one says "PHILCO TELEVISION" in 3/8" high letters right under the tube, I don't see that one listed on any of the repro sites.

Does anyone have a good clear picture of one of these so I can see the color scheme?
I think the grille is supposed to be black or very dark brown, also possibly the border around the front and the base of the set.
