RCA Curb Find
I "saved" one the other day. Was driving home and saw a 19" set at the curb with a free sign on it. I'm trying not to bring home stuff, but it was ready to pour rain, and I guess you know how that goes. Fired it up and it works fine.
It's a 19" RCA ColorTrac. Model Number FLR520WR. Manufactured 01/86. It's pretty clean but is missing the control door. I didn't take the back off yet. Does anyone know what chassis this has, and if it's a "true" RCA?

Probably a CTC130 and one of the last true RCA's. In fact, that chassis was a carryover into the GE and Thomson era. The main problem these sets gave were loose connections inside the MTT tuner module. Usually, it's the wirewrap stakes and the plugs.

Those make a great picture, I have a 13" one from '86. Nice save, it would have been a shame to let it rain on it. You could always give away this kind of stuff if you have no use for it. I think that is much better than it going into a landfill.

LOL! I'll probably keep this one as the picture is so good.
I've tried to find homes for some of the "newer" sets I don't want, and man... are people picky! I've replied to a few wanted ads on CL, and if it isn't a flat-panel they get pissed. Hell.. I don't even have a flat panel set.
