'60's Lafayette HE-40 communications receiver
OK, this one qualifies for the "I look like a Hallicrafters S120" contest. This is a Japanese made Lafayette 4 tube + silicon rectifier communications receiver from what I'd guess to be the mid '60's. A friend of mine bought this for $15, saw all the dangling wires and missing speaker, and gave it to me. Maybe one day, I'll get around to "de-hacking" it. About the only major difference I see between this Lafayette and a Hallicrafters S120 is that the Lafayette has an S meter.

That shouldn't be too hard to resurrect. I Googled it and found lots of references to it, and Manualman has a ....manual... (what else?) for sale for it.

Looks just like a Midland set I used to have...prolly the same...just w/a Lafayette badge. Shouldn't be tough to resurrect.

Looks to be little more than a fancy AA5 (All American 5ive) tube radio. I don't see a power transformer, so take the usual cautions with a hot chassis.
