12" RCA SS NIB on eBay
One of those ubiquitous 12" RCA "Soiled" State sets with a good opening price.
If you're gonna collect them this would be the way to do it, new & untouched, assuming it's not just a brick or something in the box of course.

Well, it looks like the staples have never been removed. The set is from 1983/84 according to the Sams index.

These crt's usually look bright n' strong after years of normal use, so I bet a NIB one won't disappoint....someone grab it!

RCA made many of these in that case style over many years. I've got a white '77 model and a woodgrain '81 model. The chassis looks different on the two; but, the cases are the same style. The '77 model uses a plug in IF module, while the '81 model is on a single board. I saw a Thomson era late '80's RCA 12" that had a more updated case and knobs; but, the knob placement and chassis looked very similar to my '81 model. I guess I'm one of the few people who likes these older 9"/12" B&W's. Probably because that's what I got my start on when I first started repairing TV's. Back in the early '90's, I'd pick them up for a $1 or $2, fix them for another $1 or $2, and sell them from anywhere between $15-$35 (the AC/DC sets always brought more). Needless to say, that gravy train didn't last for two many more years. I think I got $5 for the last 12" B&W that I sold about ten years ago. And, the SA still prices them at $15. Boy, they are sure behind the times.

That's true, this was a common set. I had an '81 singleboard one in white. Tossed it for reasons I cannot remember...but it did work well.
