Unusual (and ugly) Philco on eBay
Maybe one of those Toshiba or Sanyo Japanese built sets from the 60's?

Does have a distinctly "Oriental" look to it, don't it ? Nothin' I can quite put my finger on, but...

It's most likely a Toshiba-built set. I have a 60's Toshiba color set and this one looks similar to it. Certain things like the knobs, etc. are practically identical.

I have one very similiar, but with a more attractive color combination. I've had it for years, bought it for a dollar in the mid-90s and used it as my office TV at work until analog died. I've never had the back off so I don't have many clues as to the maker. I'm pretty sure it is Japan and not Taiwan. I was always curious about these not bearing the Ford name; this may have just been right before they started using it but the more colorful idea I had comes from reading that Henry Ford II didn't want his name on anything made in Japan. That had to do with cars...
Here is a photo I took, the morning analog switched off.
