Is this a Zenith set?

http://ventura.craigslist.org/fuo/1559369266.html

I like, and I got and email out to the seller. I get the idea its a Zenith from the remote on top but dont see the drop down door, any idea if its tube or ss?

It's a Zenith... The door (and microphone) are there in the second picture.. That is a great looking set, can't wait to see better pictures.

Or were you just going for the:

Get the rabbit ears and the wallpaper too!

If its a tube set and is still available its mine. Yea the wallpaper....I was looking at that

Something about it just doesnt give me the impression its a 60s Zenith tube set, maybe the lack of cataract. Also the top and bottom of the mask are more of a flat line.

I'm pretty sure it's a B&W set, that would account for the lack of a cataract.

I have a slightly earlier model Space Command (1961) taking up space in my garage (hint, hint)

That's a B&W Zenith from the '60's.

Weird! I did get a reply if it was still available, and it is. hmmm, bw...
I still had the ad open here it is,

"This 1960's vintage furniture console is more valuable that the television. The floor model console is in perfect condition! Has been stored in the unused room of our house and has not been suseptable to any wear at all. For the collector of 1960'x era furniture, this would be a find. Maybe put your new flat screen T.V. in this retro console cabinet."

Ad is pulled, but nice set! It's a 23" B&W from the mid 60s... Probably the top of the line B&W with Space Command 400 (if that's the correct remote with it).

Is in fact a bw, he sent me a pix of the guts. I made an offer and if accepted I will go get it tonight. Im really not in need of another bw but will add it to the museum if the price is right. My experience so far is that the crts in all these large bw sets seem to be dead or real weak, its also hard to watch a bw when I got great Zenith and RCA color sets.
Thanks again for all the info!

Edit: received reply that they will not accept less than $100, Im out.
Also the relisted it as a COLOR set. http://ventura.craigslist.org/fuo/1572462855.html

Yup, looks like somebody else is getting ready to get a lesson in economics.

I have one from 69/70 and the basic chassis looks the same. Very good sets. Mine was free.

They are trying to pull someone's leg with that color claim.

If they won't take less than $100, they will probably end up keeping it. Unless, of course, a "professional" comes along and grabs it just for the cabinet and then takes "professional" pictures of themselves pulling the guts to sell on ebay.

I have a similar non remote B&W from '69 that I paid $50 for at a thrift store; and, that was about $30 more than it was worth. At least the CRT in mine was strong. That is the set that some may remember me getting severely pissed off at the store's attitude and I bought the thing with spare change.

hmm well the posting has been deleted, maybe it will resurface as a B&W set.

Or maybe some scooped it up?
