I'd go after all 3 if I had the space. The one on the left is an RCA XL100 color TV/radio/phonograph console. The control layout on the TV tells me it's from the mid '70's and was probably one of RCA's last combinations. Probably uses the CTC68 solid state chassis, which was a good one.

The Zenith is likely a tube set or might possibly be one of the first solid state sets. Either way, it's worth getting.

I can't tell what the stereo is; but, it does look old enough to have tubes.

I would really like to get that old Zenith but it looks like it's getting that funky yellow halo around the outer edge of the screen and chances are it doesn't work or barely works. I wouldn't get the RCA since I would need at least a van or pickup truck to haul that home. Out of these three I'm thinking about grabbing that console stereo since it has a better chance of working. Hopefully if the stereo is still there and works I can get it home in the back of a Chevy Cavalier.

I've never seem an XL100 combo this new. I just recognize the control layout from some TV only models that were made between '75-'77. I've worked on one older XL100 combo with the tilt out control bin. Since this one is so new, it probably has an 8-track tape player in addition to the turntable and radio.

I wouldn't worry about the green halo on the Zenith. Many times, it's not that evident when the TV is on.

The turntable in that stereo MAY be a Glaser-Steers. I'd definitely check it out if I were 1000 miles north of where I'm sitting now...

grab the zenith for sure.i have a crt if you need it.great sets.the rca is a good one too.i have only known of 1 other combo.in worthington and still used.had a crt changed about 15 years.that is all the repairs.that is a pretty rare set.either way those are too good to pass up.

The Zenith is probably a 1968-'69 Space Command 600, and is probably all or mostly tubes. Doug, drh4683 in Chicago, has (or used to have) one of these. This set also appeared in the living-room scenes in the later episodes ('68-'69, near the series' end) of the TV series Bewitched, seen these days in reruns at four p.m. EST on WGN America.

This is the first time I've ever seen an RCA XL-100 combo myself, as most sets in this series were TV only.

Anyone in Michigan (or anywhere else in the eastern or midwestern US) wanting the TVs or the stereo console in that CL listing is going to have quite a long trip, as they are all in Wyoming.

My best guess is that the stereos in these got the most use. I bet the TV sections of those consoles weren't used much until cable arrived (or the owner put up a huge motorized antenna to get stations from Colorado, Arizona, etc.) as I don't think there were that many TV stations in the entire state of Wyoming, even as recently as the '70s.

I would take the day off work and get all 3. Dont let them go to the curb. The xl100 is a solid set that lasts forever. To bad their not near So Cal

Wrong Wyoming. Wyoming is a "burb" of Grand Rapids.

I'd grab whatever possible if I were you, that Zenith is nice, in the higher end cabinet too. I bet it works fine or could with very little effort. It will have a 20Y1C50 chassis or very close to that. Looks like a '68 to me. Space Command sets are getting scarce, I've never owned a SC 600. Maybe someday. Hell, save it and I'll figure out a way to come and get it.

That 'Wyoming' is confusing, least it had me confused, too! Got one about 45 minutes from here, too. (just south of Dover, DE) If it were there I'd probably have a problem...

While the RCA might be a little new for my tastes, that cabinet is very nice. I didn't think they stayed with such a style into the mid-70s? The Zenith, well, they are all great from that era.

Thats neat to see RCA hung onto that cabinet style so long. I think they first started using that cabinet in the '63 rca roundie combos. That must be about a '74-'75 model and its basically the same cabinet. I think danish modern was totally dead after about 1972.

As for that Zenith, its a '69 model. I have one like it in the danish modern cabinet with space command. This one is a power tuner only as the microphone is not present on the lower apron door. This one uses the 16Z7C50 chassis, which is the first year for the intergrated circuit chroma demodulator. I used mine as a daily TV from '04 to '07 after I fixed it up. It worked great, another top notch zenith chassis.

Man. I would love to grab all three now! I got a response from the owner of these and he said he still has the stereo console, which I specifically asked about. My guess is that all three are still there!
