I.D. a Sony
Yes, I know I should have wrote it down, but I didn't... There's a honking Sony at my local Salvation Amy that I'm temped to pick up. It's dated somewhere between 1999 and 2003 as I recall. Maybe 16:9 but that's hard for me to tell sometimes. And about a 40 inch screen size. Direct view flat CRT. One set of component inputs. Also I was wondering if the set does anything more than 480p. But without a model number that's a silly question.

Sony actually did make a 40" Wega tube. It was 4:3. Pic might have helped even more than a model number. Get one for us next time you go back?

There was an early HD version with a DVI input too as I recall. They had problems with those 40" CRTs having gun failures so make sure its got good grayscale!
Bring a crane and forklift, they can easily exceed 300 pounds.

It's not there anymore.
It's in the back of my car. ![]() 36 in. 4x3. XBR something or other with buttons on the top center. Not a bad set for $53.00 It's gonna need a little solder reflow. But the snow was bright and sharp. May also need attention to the dynamic focus circuit if it has one. It's going eventualy into the bedroom to replace a 26 in. XL-100 CTC-169. Does have YUV ins.
