Wow, just wow!
A superb restoration that really shows just how fantastic 3 strip Technicolor can be.

I had to go to WalMart for a work related deal, and saw all the tv's on with the Wizard of Oz. It was pretty cool. Musta had them on because of the blu ray.

It's the 70th anniversary, they released it in a standard DVD format also.
The 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition on BD is amazing and packed full of goodies, the price difference between the BD and regular version is only like $7.00 at Amazon. There's a short but interesting extra about the restoration of the film, how they cleaned it up and mixed it for 5.1 (Original Mono too) etc.
