Let 'em have it guys....
This guy is rude, he's trying to pass this last gasp console as a vintage tv and is trying to rip someone off. He was a total jerk to me. Tell him it's better off in the garbage or a fishtank like he says. The thing looks like an LG Zenith from about '02 like I saw the other day by a dumpster.http://detroit.craigslist.org/fuo/1249164530.html

Well.. I think somewhere in the rules around here, trying to start an attack on someone out side of AK is pretty much against the rules... and if not.. it's just bad karma....
and hey.. everyone has a different idea of what age is vintage... for $40, WTF.. that ain't being ripped off for a working TV.. some people would love to have a TV that works for that price...

Vintage TV, my butt! Next, they'll be sticking their 5 year old LCD sets on CL and calling them "vintage".
That Zenith was probably built between '98 and '02. The cabinet will be all particleboard and plastic, the chassis will consist of a small PC board in the bottom of the cabinet, and the CRT is probably not in great shape. |

Moderators Note:
I am writing this for what seems like the millionth time... All threads that link to Craigslist, eBay, Audiogon etc., belong in the Dollars and Sense forum, regardless of the product being auctioned/sold. Links to auctions of TV's, Audio gear, cars, Chinese checker games, or pieces of toast emblazoned with the unmistakable likeness of Joe Namath, all belong in D&S. Additionally, threads started specifically to criticize a seller or the price, quality, or validity of the product being sold, have no place on AK at all. To recap: If you are posting a thread that features a link to any of the aforementioned sites, then that thread belongs in D&S, unless the sole purpose of the thread is to criticize and/or berate the seller, the product, or the auction process, in which case don't post it at all. The complete rules for posting in the Dollars and Sense forum, can be found at the following links. The first link features the rule that directly applies to why this thread has been closed. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=237575 http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=173884
