It looks like RCA had their 8-PT-70xx b/w sets from the mid-50s in mind when they designed the cabinets for those.

I remember asking my mom to buy me one of those at a flea market back when I was about 3 years old. She said no. I still would grab one if it came up locally, I wouldn't bother shipping one. Although, the price is right on this one.

Actually, he's not making anything on the $24 shipping. He's on thin ice before actually losing money on the sale. I just shipped a portable radio yesterday, and the cost has skyrocketed. It was $24 for regular Parcel Post ($2 or $3 of that was for $160 insurance). And the radio is smaller & lighter than that 9" TV.
Nice little set, but not collectible yet, I don't think. It's mid-80s, and has a DC-battery jack on the back. Charles
