CTC 177AM2 troubles

Picked up a 1995 RCA with the infamous CTC177 tuner. It exhibited all the classic signs of poor / broken solder connections. Could jiggle RF input / tap set and get good pix. Hooked up a vcr and played a James Bond movie just to check the CRT before getting very far into the set. Color was excellent like most all of these old RCA's.
Resoldered the tuner connections, now all I get is a pale blue/white screen with horizontal lines. What the heck am I missing. I have checked, and rechecked my soldering and can't find any faults?
Any suggestions???

You could have soldered something together (it's real easy to do) in the tuner or you could have a corrupted eeprom, among other things. Bad eeproms can cause all sorts of weird problems, including the one you're having.
