I'm in town, but rolled in too late for Friday hijinks. If you view the live video tomorrow, I will be masquerading as a nondescript grey-haired guy from the Wrong Coast

The convention was a blast! I second, thanks to Steve and all involved, and for all the great conversation and stories. I don't want to ever miss a year. I also grabbed a couple of neat sets this year! I finally have a few roundie B/W sets now.

Yah, the convention was, as usual, both fun and educational. It's great to see acquaintances from years past and meet some new people, as well.

Talk about ships passing in the night. Both of you were at the convention but I didn't recognize you as forum members. Zenithfan1, I think I chatted with you and Jim Menning at some point. For the record, my nametag did say "Phil Nelson, Phil's Old Radios". On this page you can see what I looked like about four years ago: http://antiqueradio.org/tabloid.htm .

Maybe next year we should all wear fake beards or pirate eyepatches or something

This year, I bought something for the first time. I have held back in the past, due to the hassle/cost of shipping things from OH to the West Coast. At the silent auction, though, there were two Hallicrafters T-54s. I preferred the one with all original paint (and grime), and got it for a good price. It will make a great companion to my Hallicrafters 505 TV and SX-42 boatanchor.

Anyway, Steve and his crew deserve a big Thank You for putting on yet another fine convention. If you're interested in old TVs, there's nothing else like this in the world, as far as I know.

We did speak, I think we're in the picture of the Dumont color set talking in the background with Jim Menning. It's the picture with John and his wife over in the color forum. Glad you were able to snag one of the Hallicrafters, I believe that was a topic of conversation too, that and the radio that matches it. It was a pleasure talking with you and everyone else there. It's not everyday I can talk about this stuff without eyes glazing over so I take full advantage!

it was fun wasn t it?the color wheel demonstration was awesome and watching the kentucky derby pre-show on that stromberg carlson ruled.it was good to see and talk with of course mark,dave may,john hommock,and the guys from cincy.good times!!!just have to wait another year.i am going to drag bryan out of maryland to next years convention.

As usual, something always comes up at the last minute causing me not to make it. I'm definately going this comming year. I've been talking about it since the first one. From what i hear, this was the best one yet.

Anyone by chance find a knob in parking beside building (between main
entrance and big door)? Its the little things that are hard to replace.
Its for the Crosley console auctioned at the convention.

Do you have a good photo of what the knob looks like? Alternately, what is the model of the set? I may have a knob if the original is not located.
