DVD "special features"...

Do you actually listen to the audio commentary track by directors, writers, actors etc.?

I do.

Rarely. Sometimes i listen to the director's commentary but virtually never do I listen to the actors.

Nah. I just watch the movie.

The only special features I have ever watched are on the Criterion Collection "Dazed and Confused."

As a matter of fact I do. If the movie is one of my perpetual favorites, the director's commentary offers a new angle. I love Philip Kaufman's narrative on The Wanderer's DVD. He talks about the effect they were going for, how they adapted it from the novel, where they found certain locations, etc. He even makes a quick plea for one of the actors who is now MIA to contact him if he is watching.

If it's a movie I care about and if I have the time, I do. You can learn a lot from the commentary about the 'how and why' a particular scene was done or how it was shot for lighting and mood. The director/producer commentary is almost always interesting to me.
(Not so much with the actor commentaries.)
