None.
This is the best afternoon of the year to go out for a motorcycle ride... No traffic, no people, no cops! Charles

hmmm.. last chance to flip over and watch The Super Bowl with the full terrestrial analog effects.. multipath ghosts, airplane flutter, and low VHF (Ch 5) AC line noise creeping up the pic from a noisy insulator out on a utility pole in the neighborhood somewhere .. sigh!

Along with a 9 inch JVC pro monitor, I have on a Sony TV-500U mini b/w set that I am working on. It has an excellent picture, but the 'lytics are tired, and the vertical sweep is insufficient to fill the screen.
The CTC-4 is awaiting warmer temperatures in my basement workshop. Kevin

You mean that was today? How many home runs did the Steelers hit?

I was watching old Doris Day footages on Youtube. (She was one heckuva babe with one heckuva voice in the day. And my dad once danced with her at a party way back when....
)Although I'm not much of a telly sports spectator, I'm kinda sorry I missed that game; it featured among other things a legendary 99-yard run for a touchdown (Man! that's hard work for a measly 6 points! At least in basketball they give you an extra point's worth for a long shot....), and the whole game was an edge-of-the-seat event from beginning to end from what I've heard. Vintage sets are good for watching Donna Reed, Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke (The early Dennis Weaver episodes!), Leave It To Beaver, etc. Sports presentations use the ENTIRE 4:3 screen, meaning some stats on a chart at the bottom of a round screen can be cropped if one is not careful... |

Watched a few minutes on my XL100 EC333W via the Zenith DTV box - was in bed - threw out my back. I was mostly just listening, and had to turn the channel as I didn't care for the announcers - plus the signal was a bit low and I wasn't about to get up to adjust the antenna.
That's what really stinks for me about DTV - I can happily tolerate some interference on analog - DTV leaves little room for error with signal strength. When that super bowl game started breaking up, I checked the signal meter and it was reading around 50-60%. Of course, without the box I wouldn't have been able to change channels at all. The outdoor antenna is going up as soon as my back feels better!
