Another movie to identify, if possible
Hello,
That recent thread about a Czech science fiction movie reminded me of a film I have been trying to identify for years. I believe most of the following facts are correct: 1 - It is a French movie. 2 - The action, or part of it, takes place in India. 3 - The musical theme is the slow movement from Schubert's string quintet. 4 - One of the characters is a physician who explains at some point that he is trained as a cardiologist but has to work as a general practitioner as there are very few cases of heart disease in his area. I saw this movie (or a substantial part of it) on French language Canadian TV maybe 20 years ago, and I never managed to identify it. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Sometimes, this seems so strange to me as well that I think I might have dreamed
it all in my sleep. But then again, maybe it's a real movie. |

Thanks to all those that took the time to respond. The movie
is 'Nocturne indien', 1989, directed by Alain Corneau: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098000/ It must have been fairly recent when I saw it, but obviously it was somewhat less than 20 years ago. |
