Brain Fitness: Part 1 and 2 on PBS

I've watched both Part 1 and 2 of this series a couple of times on PBS and found it incredibly interesting and educational. Part 1 covers overall health and how to maintain a healthy brain by proper nutrion, exercise, and positive general being. Part 2 covered Sight and Sound. From how our senses precieve and digest the information around us and how all this affects our brain plasticity.

As we grow old our sight, hearing, and everything else gets a little bleary so maintaining optimum brain health should be a high priority in us older guys so we can maintain a vibrant and productive life. Both programs are quite indepth. Highly recommended.

Sounds interesting, not surprised that physical exercise is related to brain function - ALWAYS feel sharper and a positive mood after a good helping of adrenaline / areobic workout (even if I can barely stay with my assignment on the basketball court which happens all too often lately). thanks for the pointer - going to look for it in my PVR's upcoming schedule or put on a wishlist.
