Favorite Rifleman Episodes!
I mentioned in a thread that the Rifleman is one of the greatest father & son shows ever! Not only was the show a benchmark in child rearing, but it also showed that a parent can successfully raise a child in a single parent home. In this day father's that raise their children are often put on the back burner to women who raise children in a single parent home. I am sure there are many father's who do a great job raising their children by themselves.
Here are a few of my favorite episodes: (My Favorite) 1. Lucas had to take a job undercover & could not tell Mark where he was going or when he would return. Over time Mark began to think Lucas was not coming back. There is the scene where Mark reads the plaque they had written together that is to much for me. I cry every time I see it. Millie & Micah showed some signs of tears as well. Then Mark could sense Lucas was coming back & when he turned around from the plaque he saw Lucas coming with cattle. They ran to each other, kissing & embracing. Just a great episode.  2. Lucas had been captured by prison guards & thrown into their horse drawn jail. Lucas got a steak bone & fashioned it into a sharp weapon. He waited for the right time, called one guard over, kicked open the door, stabbed him, got his gun & shot the other one. 3. I also like the one with Sammy Davis Jr., a gunslinger. Mark idolized him & the town even accepted Sammy. 4. Lucas was determined to get the people who burned his home. He followed the drovers until he could sneak up on them & tie them up. He also fought the rich man who wanted his land & won. The man made the guys rebuild Lucas & Mark's home. Well, there are many more, but these truly stand out for me. If you have any favorites episodes from the Rifleman, let's hear it. Rome

my mom loved that show, single mom. she actually named me after the sheriff. i feel dumb but i've never actually seen the show. i hear it's great though.

aw dude, don't get me started. I LOVE the rifleman.
That Sammy episode is cooler than cool.
