Majestic Bakelite and Motorola Console
I have a working original Majestic Bakelite 651 and a Motorola wood console 81K31. The Motorola worked until the plug came off the power cord.
The Majestic is in original condition with the speaker cover fraying and the back cover has torn corners. It has some paint splatter on the top surface that should clean off. The Motorola has a frayed speaker cover as well, It is missing two knobs and the plug end. The wood will need restored also. I have pics of both. Can I get an idea of value from this forum? Are they rare and worth keeping or selling? Or are they just common place and not worth much? Thanks for any help/advise offered! Also, what about a RCA Victrola V V 4-7? It is in working condition with the cabinet needing some minor attention. Thanks again! |

they are common, I didn't find them on the bay so can't tell you exactly what they would be worth. Where are you at?? I may be interested. the crosely is hard to determine value, me I would give 20$ for it, if the case wasn't cracked or chipped, this isn't a painted bakelite so you wouldn't be able to cover up repairs. the motorola I would pass, I am assuming it has a turntable. the vv 4-7 I would give 50$ for, a vv 4-20 just sold on the bay for 53$. these are all items that would need restoration but I would say sell them un restored, you won't get back the money. you won't be able to buy a house with them but maybe a dog house. I think the crosely would be the only one really worth anything in the bunch.
