What a treasure! But a little too far away for my transport resources, and a little to pricey for my budget. Sure would be cool to have that, though!

Very nice!
But the proper way to obtain such a rare gem is to happen upon it for free from a place like a hayloft in an old barn--or for chump change because the seller doesn't know what it is. Spending that kind of money is cheating.... ![]() All kidding aside I hope that such will be preserved, and hopefully not fooled with too much; it's perfect just as is. |

and a seller that knows to take a screenshot of the set! Amazing how many people claim the set works but never want to post a picture of it in action.
Not exactly budget friendly, but hopefully someone will rescue it and finish the restoration.

Cool looking, but man, for that kind of money, I could get a hell of a giant TV that gets hundreds of channels (not just 5) and will work after Feburary

I saw this set at Neil's a few years ago and it is a very nice set in all original condition. Having an excellent working original 12AP4 is a nice feature. It will be interesting to see what the set brings. Darryl |

Just a thought: That set would have been swooped on with a Buy-It-Now in the first few minutes of the auction if this had been 15 months ago! I wonder if it'll sell in this economy? That's still a good price for a '12, in my opinion.

Pretty impressive picture. He doesn't mention electronic restoration. I'd have to think it had been gone through at some point -- I'd be scared to fire it up, if not.
He's right to leave the cabinet alone for now. If I laid out that kind of cash, I'd want to do it "my way," or else decide to leave it as is. Phil Nelson |

My, oh my. I could cash in the retirement account and buy this-probably a better investment anyway! Old1625 said it-I'll have one when I get one by mistake!

That's great! I loved reading a schedule that includes channel 1.
