Please don't think I'm try'in to get somethin for free...

I expect to donate money to AK at the very least but have been unable to so I should not get credit for wanting to until I actually do. Just stating what I intend to do and eventually I finish all I start but do not take my word for that. If I get no response to this I am completely understanding of that being appropriate.
However, since so many dear people have said it doesn't hurt to ask I will...
Hopefully somebody with advice could need something I could do for them like with parts or anything other than actual cash at the moment. I would give before recieving.
This photo is of an '89 Sony 27" that I took from the garbage a few months ago and the picture quality has been excellent. It was discarded because the sound comes on low and pop/scratchy til it warms up then it's basically listenable with the incorrect speakers it has rigged up inside.
Today I turned it on and nothing but a little machine gun sound that might go with those little green plastic soldiers. I tried it a couple more times and the same but stopped to where nothing happens. I will take back off to look for solder connections but I inspected it when I got it and I doubt that's it. I expect I will discard it but if anybody around here needs a premium condition CRT or the whole thing you are wellcome to it for free. The CRT's performance was very impressive to me as though the set has low hours.
