Gran Torino

Gran Torino

Let's hear it for Clint.

"Get off my lawn!"

If any line had the potential for another "Go ahead, make my day." moment I'd say it is this one.

I'll see it - if Clint Eastwood read the phone book, I'd probably watch! I went to Cordoba, Spain just to see where the spaghetti westerns were filmed.

Get a hold of the June Hot Rod - a comparo between old and new school ways of hot rodding....A Gran Torino with a 514ci engine making 600hp...with chassis and suspension mods to match.

I had to stop it at the 2 minute mark. Why do trailers have to show you the whole damn movie nowadays? Anyway it looks good. Is he directing?

This one is on my short list to go see. His character is like a mix between "Dirty" Harry and "Gunny" from Heartbreak Ridge. He still looks good for his age and still knows how to make a good movie or two.

That pretty much sums it up for me. I met Eastwood when I was a little kid in the 60's. Needless to say, he made an impression.

No doubt Clint Eastwood has been in a few dogs. I always figured that after he made "The Gauntlet" he had to walk up backwards to collect his paycheck.

His latest works have all been pretty good. "Million Dollar Baby" may of been his best work of all time. He knows how to make a movie, unlike the majority of the film makers out in Hollywood. Most of them wouldn't know a decent movie if one crawled up and bit them on the ass.

Just my less than humble opinion,
Chas

Just watched this last night. It's pretty good. The story is great, and Clint Eastwood is a riot as a jaded, growling old man. I think the "Tau" character could have been better (the acting was weak), but it was still an enjoyable movie.
