Miss America Philco...

Well I drug this guy home today, it was free, will have to give a 10$ donation though. It was headed to the ewaste people, she said a lady running a estate this weeked was going to take it to the recycler with a few other things. Since it wasn't a blonde unit I had to save it. What I will do with i haven't a clue. I have it on a dim bulb to try and reform the caps, before I plug it into the wall to see what happens. Wondering if any of you guys have any info on it? I can't seem to find nothing on it via the net.

Definitely worth a $10 donation in my book! Congratulation and good luck.

It's from the Philco Predicta lineup. It's know as The Miss America since Philco introduced it when they sponsored the pageant in 1960. Very collectible!

Very cool! I like the base of the cabinet, I've never seen one like that before. Worth more than the ten you spent on a donation! Thanks for saving it! Hope to see it runnin' soon!

That TV preceded the Predicta. It is a '57 or '58 top of line. It is one of Philco's best chassis.
