Beautiful Motorola!
Wow, this is nice, looks like it was just taken out of the crate!
A bit too pricey for me at $995 but possibly worth it. http://cgi.ebay.com/1950-MOTOROLA-19...QQcmdZViewItem |

That thing popped up once before, and went for around 800 or so then dropped off the face of the earth. I'd get it, but 1000 + gas is too much.

Well....There goes my play money for the summer....
I'm a weakling for nice clean design ![]() Anyone got a schematic for the TV 1/2 of this? Hope it's not a #&^&^%^7 series string, or a crappy chassis, though I'd imagine Motoroller isn't that cheap... |

It should be a neat set to get going. Provided nothing's wasted - they said the TV doesn't do anything. Hmm, could be the missing power cord
![]() Anyway, if anyone's got the schematic, please (pretty please!) let me know. I'm curious to see what I'm up against. The TV section I need more than the radio, which looks generically simple - but check out the size of that power XFMR!!!! I have a gut feeling the TV's knobs aren't right, but then again who knows? Hmm, they say it makes the ultimate big screen TV cabinet, but the TV's only a 19" Oh well

It's Sams set 11 Folder 9. I have a copy. The knobs are correct. If it had been in Indiana or Michigan I would have snagged it myself. Excellent score. Hope that 19AP4 is strong...
PM me with a mailing address and I'll get the schematic to you.

The knobs on the TV are correct. I can photocopy the Rider's information and schematics for you. PM me your address and I will get them out to you either tomorrow or Tuesday.

Either-or is fine. You might want both Sams and Riders info. Mine is available if you want it. (p.s. Sams 111, not 11, my typo!).

19AP4? Metal!
![]() I remember the first time I saw a rectangular metal tube, 21MP4 I think. Weird as heck. At least the round ones look 1/2 normal ![]() I'll have to theft the camera with the minivan this week, so I can get pics. The radio looks interesting and I suspect the TV is too. The changer's funky! Wasn't that a Motorola-only design? I'm wondering how it does 45's - Admiral had a flip out finger on theirs which looks weird but yeah, it works. At least there's a cubbyhole under the phono for the now-requisite cable box. Hope this set can perform well - it sure as heck looks cool (almost as cool as a Scott )BTW, anyone in the NJ area want a metal cased late 50's RCA (KCS-117 chassis, I think) lemme know. The set works, has been mostly recapped, but the CRT's toast and it need a final tune up. It does get a sometimes respectable picture, though. |

I thought the knobs were replacements. How do you know what channel you're on? I asked the seller what the CRT number was & haven't heard back. If it's glass, lemme know... (wink wink...)

Well, the front of the CRT's glass, the neck's glass, but the 19AP4 has a metal cone
![]() Anyway, since I'm not turning it into a fish tank, it's safe to say that the CRT is gonna be needed... ![]() I'm guessing the knob mystery will be solved when I get it - they look right, but the whole channel number thing's got me weirded out, unless it's shown in some non obvious way (like a Zenith's bullseye, or such). I've got two that say they're the right knobs, and they match the TV and look like they match the set... But that's 1/2 the fun of getting a set over ebay.... |
