Whoops...

The package arrived this morning with this little blue set, the seller sent it with two pounds of dead batteries installed, my guess is she didn't know they were there. Anyhow the two upper cabinet attaching posts got broken, no biggie, I glued and drilled them and installed longer screws, good as new!

Now the good part, I'm unloading my truck in the garage tonight, I have a laptop, the blue TV and the two power supplies in my arms, I almost made it to the door when the TV pops out of my hand like a wet bar of soap.

It was headed for the concrete floor so I took drastic action, I body slammed it against the garage wall! it worked, I saved it with only a minor scuff that'll buff out.
Less important is my bruised nose where I slammed it against the wall, nearly breaking my glasses in the process, it'll heal.

The laptop also hit the wall and now has a big white paint smudge on it but seems unharmed otherwise.

Lesson learned, make two trips!

I'm glad you and the TV survived. It could have been worse.

Many years ago, when I was a teenager, we were taking an out-of-town trip to see my aunt. She was very poor and I decided that I'd take her a color TV set. It was below freezing and the ramp to my shop was very slick from ice. When my young dumb-butt self was coming out of the shop with the TV, I slipped on the ice. I landed on my butt and the TV landed beside me. Except for a sore butt, I was OK. I can't say the same for the TV. Not to be outdone, I slid back in the shop, got another TV, slid it out the door, and then picked it up and carried it once I got to a safe spot. The whole ordeal was worth it once I saw how excited and appreciative my aunt was over getting that TV.
