Question Two extra coupons, what should I do?

Back in March I got my converter box coupons and went ahead and used them. However, 2 weeks later I got two more coupons! I haven’t used them but I’m wondering if I should (or at less call the number and find out)..

They expire soon and I do need two more converter boxes for the other TVs I have…

Get boxes of a different brand, and report back to us on how they compare to what you already have. Sensitivity and so on. The later production Insigna and Zenith boxes are reputed to be good.

I'd try and find out if you can return the coupons, since that's only fair. Many people still have not received theirs. I bought two Zenith boxes with mine and haven't even opened one yet. It is a good product for its intended use.

yes, that is the honorable thing to do. however, would they even bother to repackage them for someone else?

Just give them to someone who will need them, but hasn't heard of the coupon program. Aunt Tillie at your church, or someone like that.

That would be the best thing to do, find somebody who needs them, a young person/family or an older person. Failing that, as a last resort, well, I guess I would use them for the rest of the TV's although if you want to feel good, if an "Aunt Tillie" came along and needs a box, give her one. My aunt gave me her second coupon and I asked her, "are you sure?" She is sure she doesn't need it so I'll most likely get a third box, my second box to my 1964 Sony has been pirated for the 1982 Zenith. The Zenith is on cable, but we have basic and don't get RTN or the extra PBS channels so Mom likes to watch "Magnum P.I." over RTN so she "pirated it." Anyhoo, it is good, "what if the cable goes out?" She will be all set at least to get the digital over the air channels. I'm holding out for the Zenith DTT901. I guess once I get another job, I've been laid off this month, if I find somebody that needs a box, I could splurge for one, I need some good karma. Anyways, I do have a second job, freelance web design and I watch most of my TV on the old B&W Sony.

I’m more worried about getting into some kind of trouble for using the coupons; you see the cards have my name electronically on them. I know because when I bought my Insignia’s I saw my name come up on the register when the lady scanned them.

That would mean I couldn’t give the coupons away...

I had a pair given to me by someone over on another forum. They expire sooner than the ones the government sent me so I think I'll try them first. I wouldn't think most vendors would care?
