My Ultimate Estate Sale Find!!

Maybe these types of sets dont interest you as much, but they are among the most difficult to find, and thats a zenith table color set with space command 600! Not only is it hard to find one of these, but to find another one in the same weekend!

First pictured is a 1967 space command 600, all steel cabinet 20X1C38, currently working excellent with some issues. Got the space command going well and sensitive after locating a leaky 25uf lytic on the channel down coil. HV balances well, however Im discovering trouble in the HOT current, its running at around 250ma, which is pretty high.
But other than that, it does show a great picture and the set is like new with very low hours.

This set has a click stop spotlite dial UHF, which is very rare for a set this early. Works great, and both original dial lights work! Proof of low hours.

Here is the second find of today, a 1972 space command 500, 19CC19 chassis. The TV works great. Didnt get a chance to really tune it up yet.

Here are some pics of my space command 500 working now. Had an open filter cap in the space command chassis causing the entire remote function to be dead. Whats nice is that this set has the first generation 500 remote, which looks similar to the unchanged 600.
In this pic, you see the clean inside.

Here is a back shot of the newer plastic cabinet sets. This one has a dark olive green back.
Quite a change from the big steel cabinets! They are still the best tvs.

Doug,
The quality goes in before the name goes on. Great sets! That 4 tube hybrid seems to have a really awesome picture and deep color. Original CRT? I noticed the Zenith sticker on the CRT. I might just have to start looking for one of the 19" hybrid Zenith sets if my dream 19" metal cabinet tube type Zenith doesn't turn up soon. If I can manage to get myself up early next Saturday I was thinking of checking a few service shops around here or at least giving them my card and have them call me if they come across what I want. BTW, I was looking at the clean picture of the hybrid set's chassis and wondering how you manage to get it so clean. I can't see even a speck of dust in the clean picture.
