early 70's admiral on ebay
Heres a 70's admiral. Seller says its a '75, but I dont know. Never seen anything like it. My '69 admiral uses the same type of back cover with the same tube cap. Looks like a tube type chassis in there? Looks like its seen better days. The good news is, its still in existance for someone to save it unlike the zenith in OR.

The worst part is that you really cant refinish those '70s "fake wood" cabinets. They claim in the listing it can be refinished, obviously they've never tried to refinish something like this. Or, they're just saying that to sell it. On the positive side, IF she works, it would be a great kids or basement tv.

I think '75 is about right... a Super SolarColor modular set, tube hybrid. I worked on a lot of them, and probably still have a box of modules someplace. Cheap sets.

I had one like that back around '90. Sad sets. Plastic everywhere, cheap tube-hybrid chassis, mediocre performance. I knew a retired Admiral dealer who sold tons of these...he was a good salesman. So good that he sold me, for decent money, a big pile of Admiral modules & service lit, none of which I have ever needed. (the mods eventually got tossed)
Still, as rare as they are now it is good that somebody saved it.
