Cute 50s Silvertone

Spotted in the back room of a local auction house. Sorry for the blurry phone-cam picture. The gold knobs are very cool, not chewed up as they appear in the photo.

Includes the low wrought iron swivel stand with feet. They haven't decided which auction it will be in -- some time after Thanksgiving.

Looks like early 50's bakelite. I hope you are planning on going to this auction. You'll probably bring this beauty home for $5 or $10. The best deals going now are at auctions, especially estate auctions. Many of the people who bought these sets new are now dying off and this it what they leave behind. Thanks folks!!

As for the bidding it seems like most treasure hunters are looking for anything but a TV. This one is probably sitting there because nobody bid on it in some other auction(s).
