The wood-stained frame around the tube tells me that the combo might be a Curtis Mathes. They were the only ones I know who did that.

I live near there, and for some strange reason this whole area is overloaded with Zenith Chromacolor II's / System 3's people are trying to get rid of. I keep seeing them at the side of the road, or for just a few bucks at yard sales.

those little zenith electronic tuner sets are rare! That model is an '84.

Just found another zenith space command set in New Mexico. I emailed asking for pics if available. Lots of nice stuff seems to pop up on craigslist rather frequently.

The ad says it's a Westinghouse color set, but I can't tell much from that small picture.

If it is what he says it is...somebody needs to grab it! I doubt the 60s Westinghouse color sets were very good, but they are certainly rare. I've never layed eyes on one.

Heres a zenith out in south suburban mokena, IL. Dont see sets with the "rounded" 23" CRT from '75 too often. No way of contacting this seller though. Must be new in box for the price.

Those 23" Zenith's used to be pretty common around here. I even saw a fair amount of late '70's to early '80's 23" sets with the inline tube. $200 seems on the high side. I doubt the average person would pay more than $10 for such a set today. They would only bring $75 to $100 in the early to mid '90's.

I always did a double-take when I'd spot these. Just odd looking. The one I really remember was at a local pizza parlor-the owner lived in an apartment in the back and when the door was open you could look in and see that tv. It used the single knob tuner-real out of place; at the time I didn't understand why.

last time i worked on one of those 23 " zeniths was in an after hours gambling house in a bad part of columbus. a friend took me there and when the "proprietor" came out of the kitchen with a cleaver shouting" whos that m----- f-----",big ed(all 5 ft 1 inch),told him to relax,he s here to fix the tv. loose vertical module and a couple of bullet holes in the cabinet. very good set with a
sharp picture. they tipped me well and i took home 100.00 and a dozen pork chop sandwiches. those were the days.that was in 1985. if anyone is on taylor ave off broad in columbus, stop by and see if it is still there. i m going to pass!!!
