I'm blue because my TV isn't
My late 80s/early 90s RCA has lost its blue. What could be the cause and is it worth fixing? Let me know if you need more details. Thanks very much.

A chassis number would be a great help. It's probably the blue output transistor or some associated component on the CRT neck board. It could also be the CRT itself; especially if the problem gradually got worse over time.

I will second the blue driver transistor on the CRT board. Also check the grid resistors on that board associated with the blue gun. YOu may have an open one. The colortrak series was notorious for this.

Did you stop running Windows 98 on it?
