Sony Micro-TV 5-303W Blank, white raster.
I found a really nice looking little sony micro TV on epay for $10. It has some problems. There is no audio whatsoever, and the screen displays a blank raster no matter what channel the tuner is tuned to. Are there any common things to look for in this set that would cause a loss of signal after the tuner?

Mine had a buzz in the audio from the time I got it in the 80s. Eventually the audio went out entirely. I put off tackling it as I thought these would be a bear to work on, but they really are not. In fact, they are pretty easy-modular chassis. New caps will do wonders. That's all mine needed. I think it's pretty fun to recap little transistor stuff like this.

Yes, that is all I replaced. I only did the sections that were causing trouble. I also have a slightly newer model with UHF that had numerous problems; new electrolytics solved them all.

I've gone through pretty much all the electrolytics and still have nothing but a white raster with retrace lines. Are there any specific transistors that commonly fail in these sets? Im guessing the problem lies in a section common to both audio and video. Would anyone happen to have a sam's for this set?

I have scans of most of the Sam's folder. Let me know if you need them and I'll post them to my web space so you can download them.
