It's spring tropo ducting season!
 Hey, you guys like me with outdoor antennas and warm temps! Fire up yer TV sets and start DXing those low band channels! Just this afternoon received at my house in W. New England: WESH channel 2, Orlando (NBC); WPBT channel 2 Miami (PBS); WFOR channel 4 Miami (CBS); WPVT channel 5 Palm Beach (NBC), all in Florida; severe windowblinding on my local channel 3. Anyone else gettin' anything??

Ch3 Tampa FL here in NJ!
Super DX here in NJ, Getting WEDU ch3 (FCC database says Tampa, Flordia), at 21:40 GMT May 9. . Also NYC's ch2 WCBS-TV is getting severe interference here. House antenna is aimed about 10 degrees east of directly south.

Hell, I can't even get WESH channel 2 at my house and I live 12 miles west of Orlando.

No luck yet, but I only started yesterday...Ive been using this forecast - http://www.dxinfocentre.com/tropo.html I like this because you can select regions.
Last summer and the summer of 2005 I pulled in some amazing dx with my 82 zenith knob-jobber. AFC off of course. Problem now is that I need a new rooftop aerial, My original one blew off violently this winter, good thing no one was injured. I figure it was up there for about 40 years. Rusted like you would not believe, since I am on a beach block. SO I only have some indoor antennas now, but I will report back soon....

WFOR Channel 4 CBS here in Miami has their transmitter located with the rest of them except for CH. 6, WTVJ NBC at the antenna farm at the Dade/Broward county line. Channel 6 is about 30 miles south between Miami and Homestead with a 1,850 foot tower. They even have several UHF repeaters in north Broward county. Ain't the ionosphere great!

That's probably because Chan. 2's tower is in Orange City, somewhere between Orlando and Daytona Beach. The rest of Orlando's TV towers (and most of the FMs, and all of the HDTVs) are in the "tower farm" midway between Orlando and the East coast. Channel 2 was originally licensed to Daytona Beach and that location put a good signal into both cities. A lot of older homes that still had antennas had "area specials", with a separate Yagi for Ch. 2 because of the different tower locations.
