Sony Profeel; Costco has a correct stand!

For a long time, I've been looking for an original Sony Profeel stand for the KX-1901, but they just don't show up. Today we were at Costco, and this stand is PERFECT for the 1901! Looks VERY VERY similar to the original, and I bet if you put a SONY badge on the front, you'd fool anyone into thinking it's an early 80s Sony original stand. Not sure if the KX-2501 would be too heavy, but it would fit perfectly. I just wouldn't put a 2501 on this stand in earthquake country... The gray paint is a 100% match for the Sony Profeel monitor paint, and the vinyl accents on the front of the stand are a 100% match for the vinyl covering on the KX-2501.

Costco item # 146723, $139. (plus your time to assemble it with Chinese-translated instructions.)

Quality is very good, in fact the plate tempered glass shelves are much thicker than the Sony shelves with Kay's 36" WEGA. Specs on this Costco stand say 145 lbs for the TV shelf.

Charles

Thumbs up KX-1901 Sony TV

Hi there,
Yes you are right, the stand does go well with the 1901, I still have mine also but the tuner and remote were stolen several years ago but the picture is as good as ever, even thought I have to use my Sony VCR to be used as a tuner... ANYBODY know of one for sale or as a present to me...
Happy TV watching..
Maurice

Nice stand. How wide is the top and middle shelves? Will a monster receiver fit on top?
