My Uncle had one just or nearly like that back in the late 70's early 80's

I remember it because he had the back off permanently and would fiddle with the convergence constantly trying to get it right.

Doubt he still has it though.

RCA TVs

I have two that are very similar if not the same as this. These are complete. A black one and a white one. One has cataracts, one does not One has been wet as it was in a storage unit and the roof blew off. However, the case is not rusty. The other has never been wet as far as known.

Both have metal cases.

Otherwise the condition is unknown.

These are free if you can arrange pickup or shipping or arrange to meet me somewhere in Texas. I live near Austin and have a pickup truck with topper.

The ones that I have are heavy as if they have power transformers.

If you are interested, I can take digital pictures.

Jody

Ihave one of those...

I have one of those sets. It did kinda work( raster), before 9-11-01, but it has not been fired since then. It is buried in my storage area, by a 19" zenith ,of similar vintage.

Let me know, if interested.

RE: Zenith tv

I think it also kinda works. It is in front of the rca ctc-27 or 19, portable. I got both of them, at the same time, over 2 years ago.It is a transformer-powered set, probably a 16z8c19, or similar.

I may be willing to part with BOTH of them.

Snakes

A picture of the sets, or a dead snake?

BTW, I only recently noticed that kc8adu's avatar was a snake! For the longest time I thought it was a crushed capacitor or something! I think it's cause the background isn't focused, like those pictures you're supposed to stare at.

So in theory, it could crush a capacitor?

Sorry.
